Kaas Pathar (Kaas Plateau Reserved Forest) sits at 1,200 m in the Western Ghats, about 25 km from Satara. Kaas Pathar, locally known as Kas Plateau, lies about 25 km west of Satara in Maharashtraâs Western Ghats. Perched at an altitude of 1,200 m, this 10 km² volcanic plateau bursts into a riot of wildflowers each monsoon, earning its nickname âMaharashtraâs Valley of Flowers.â
